The happily pregs Penélope Cruz was spotted out and about here in SoCal last week doing a bit of last minute shopping. Penélope took her burgeoning Baby Bump to the Ed Hardy store on Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood, CA … erm, I guess there is no accounting for taste.

Despite Penélope‘s OBVS bad taste in shopping habits, I still heart her entirely and cannot WAIT for her to bring forth the fruit of her loins. I love how pleasantly plump she is getting. Pregnancy looks very good on her. I can’t wait ’til she pops!! Wee!!!

Nicole Richie & Joel Madden Share Their Wedding Photos With ‘People’ Magazine

Last weekend, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden got married in a lavish yet intimate ceremony at the Richie mansion in Beverly Hills, CA and today we get our first look at the first wedding photo released from the nuptials. As you may recall, Nic/Joel sold their wedding photos to the highest bidder and plan to [...]

Hulk Hogan (neé Terry Bollea) is a married man once again because he and his girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel‘s (who bears a striking and, IMHO, very creepy resemblance to his daughter Brooke Hogan) got themselves married on a beach in Clearwater, FL yesterday. As you might imagine, Hulk Hogan‘s wedding didn’t go down without a bit of a ruckus but the I Dos were said … and Hulk and Jennifer are now hitched!

It figures … only Hulk Hogan’s wedding would require a referee — TMZ has learned cops were called when a brawl broke out in the middle of the nuptials this evening in Florida. Sources at the wedding tell us a photographer was trying to snap shots of Hulk and his bride-to-be, Jennifer McDaniel, during the ceremony in their backyard — which happens to be on the beach in Clearwater. We’re told a family employee told the photog to beat it — and then the scuffle broke out just as Hulk and Jennifer were saying their vows. Classic. Cops were called, but no one was arrested — since no one wanted to press charges — and the ceremony continued …right through Hulk and Jennifer’s ‘I dos.’

And so … a new Mrs. Hulk Hogan has been selected. As you may recall, Hulk and his former wife Linda Bollea divorced shortly after their son Nick Bollea was involved in a near-deadly accident that left one of Nick‘s friends in a vegetative state. Almost as soon as they split, they each hooked up with new partners … both much younger than both Hulk and Linda. Hulk finally married his new partner but it remains to be seen if Linda will do the same. I suppose congratulations are order for Hulk Hogan and his new wife Jennifer … right?

Britney Spears: Comic Book Hero

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has one, Betty White has one … even the entire cast of Glee has one — now Britney Spears has one, too! Our dear Britney will be featured in her very own comic book from Bluewater Productions in March (the very same month her new album will be released). Here is [...]

After making a bit of a splash back in 2002 in his feature film debut in 8 Mile (a film which won him an Academy Award for Best Song), Eminem is finally returning to the big screen. Deadline is reporting that Em has signed on to star in a boxing film being produced by Dreamworks. Eminem‘s new film is titled Southpaw:

reamWorks has made a preemptive acquisition of Southpaw, a pitch for a star vehicle for Eminem (Marshall Mathers) that will be written by Sons of Anarchy creator/exec producer Kurt Sutter. Like in Eminem’s 2002 screen starring debut 8 Mile, Southpaw will be fueled by the struggles that inform Eminem’s music and mirror his life. Eminem will play a fast-rising welterweight boxer who brawls his way to the title, only to see his world crash down around him due to tragedy. The movie is about his fight to reclaim past glory … The film will be produced by Eminem’s Shady Films’ managers and producing partners Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr, and Alan and Peter Riche of Riche Productions. The deal comes as Eminem’s comeback album, Recovery, just got 10 Grammy Awards nominations … Sutter will begin writing immediately, and he will complete a draft by February, before he and his Anarchy writers begin to plot the fourth season of the series. “There is a rich story her that references his own experience, and I was honored to be able to continue a relationship that began with 8 Mile,” Snider told me. She’ll steer the project with DreamWorks co-president Mark Sourian.

Well it’s about damn time! I totally understand why Em has not taken on any movie roles in the past 8 years considering all the hardships he’s been thru but it is really great news that he is ready to act again. I loved his performance in 8 Mile and I am really anxious to see if he’s got it inside him to bring the skills again. What do y’all think … are you excited to see Eminem on the big screen again?

Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett Johansson Reunite In NYC

Kevin Federline rounded up his children with ex-wife Britney Spears — sons Sean Preston and Jayden James — and his ladyfriend Victoria Prince for a family outing in Chatsworth, CA last week so that the family could pick out an Xmas tree. Here are a few photos from the fun family outing:

These are really cute photos, y’all. I am just amazed at how big both Sean P. and JJ keep growing! And, in all honesty, I must give some credit to their father K-Fed. For the most part, my beef with the man has been over the way he has continued to leech off of his famous and very wealthy ex-wife but for the better part of the last year, he has remained off the radar and seems to have finally settled into a quiet life of fatherhood. Even his relationship with Victoria Prince seems to be stable and happy and, well, I can’t really think of a bad thing to say about either of them. While I have never been an K-Fed fan, there have been glimmers of hope that the guy might turn out to be a decent person … for some time now, it appears that the guy has finally grown his ass up. While it’s unfortunate that the children have to be shuttled back and forth between their parents, I understand the relationship that Britney and Kevin share is one that is friendly enough so that their children never get caught in the middle of any drama. I’m not saying I’m a bona fide Kevin Federline fan but I can now appreciate that he seems to have matured enough to not warrant any personal attacks. I just hope he continues to be the best father he can be to his sons … if that is his main goal, then he’s deffo got a fan in me.

Story of Legendary Rock and Roll Band The Rolling Stones

Singer, songwriter, science fiction author and syndicated columnist Janis Ian is one of those rare combination's of imaginative talent mixed with musical prowess that only comes along once every generation. For this reason, Ian is celebrated nearly five decades after she first started performing, and her iconoclastic status in sci-fi and folk is permanent. Born as Janis Eddy Fink on April 7, 1951 in New York City, New York, a young Janis was almost certain to become a performer of some sorts.

How To Get The Most Out Of Going To A Trade Show

Ever since the first artificial satellite was put on an orbit around Earth, what at first seemed as a scientific peculiarity turned into an essential piece of technology that transformed our daily lives. With the advent of geostationary satellites, global communications became much simpler, as well as much cheaper. New possibilities beckoned for an old acquaintance of ours: television. It was now possible to broadcast past the limitations of normal broadcast antennas, via satellite, to everyone in the world.

Christian Karaoke Songs - Find The Lord With Music

Legendary rock and roll band The Rolling Stones got their start in 1962 and they're still performing on the road and releasing new music today after nearly five decades in the business. Most books written about the group cannot rightly sum up their entire career; it's just been too storied and too drawn out to correctly quantify the magic behind the men. The band's front man Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards were childhood friends growing up in England.

Santana Returns to Australia

If you were around in the nineties, then you know that Pearl Jam were a huge thing. While Australia and the US both have their own rock and pop scenes, Pearl Jam's appeal was pretty well universal. Nirvana was all about youthful angst and apathy while Pearl Jam was a little more ambitious, setting their sights on a deeper kind of angst, an existential honesty.

The Basic Elements of Music

Want to learn how to play music but do not know anything about how to play an instrument? You better know your musical preference first before choosing the instrument that will be easier to play. According to Bach, it is very easy to play any kind of instrument as long as you can touch the right key at the right time. It sounds easy but, actually it is not that easy for most people.

Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett Johansson Are Dunzo!

Uh oh! We’ve got another celebrity break-up to discuss … and this one is even bigger than Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter‘s split. I have safely and happily made my way back home from my frigid and snowy home state of Michigan to the warmer climes of California … and it feels good to be home. Even tho I had a lot of fun in Detroit, I really really REALLY hate the cold and the snow so … yeah, I was itching a bit to get back home. I did manage to bring a bit of my home with me to LA … my mom scrounged up my class rings, yearbooks and other school memorabilia so that I could bring them home with me:

I think I’m finally ready to ask David to go steady with me so … he’ll get to wear my high school class ring if he says yes. I know that many folks have asked for high school photos of me but I just can’t find the strength to embarrass myself like that just yet … maybe some day but, nope, not yet.

So yeah … I’m home again … and for a while ;) Tonight, David and I have tickets to see the Broadway musical Next to Normal which is in production here in LA for a few weeks:

We both saw it on Broadway in NYC last year but not together. He loved the show so much he wanted to see it again so … that’s what we’re doing! Happy Tuesday, y’all … it’s great to be home!!

There has been a bit of confusion over the way the roles of twin brothers Tyler and Cameron Winkelvoss were played in the David Fincher film The Social Network so Entertainment Weekly went right to the source to get the matter sorted out. The twin roles were played by one actor — Armie Hammer — with the help of a body double — Josh Pence — and a whole lotta of CGI:

Audiences are seeing double this weekend in The Social Network, which features two characters based on the real life Winklevoss twins — a pair of 6’5″ future-Olympian rowers who claim that Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) swiped their idea for a social networking site. Stick around for the end credits and you’ll see that the twins are actually played by two actors, Armie Hammer and Josh Pence. Yet they look — and sound — completely identical. How did they do that? According to director David Fincher, it was simple — although keep in mind that this is the same guy who put Brad Pitt’s face on a baby in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Hammer played the main twin in each shot. For shots that included both twins at the same time, Pence stood in for the second twin; Hammer later went into a studio, where he strapped his head into a harness to film that twin’s face and voice, which was then digitally superimposed over Pence’s face in the film. The result is a sort of hybrid actor with Hammer’s head and Pence’s body. Intricate split-screens and rotoscoping were also used for some shots. Piece of cake, right? “After Benjamin Button, you go, ‘It can be done,’” says Fincher. “Give us a case of Red Bull and a weekend, and we’ll figure this out.” The director insists that he didn’t use all this CGI wizardry just for kicks. “For a long time, I held out for this idea that we were going to find two 6’5″ 220-pound scullers who were going to be able to act,” he laughs. “So we looked and we looked and we looked and finally, probably about four weeks out from shooting, I just said, this is crazy. We’re never going to be able to get [it]. We need an actor. We need one person to play two people.” Fincher found that person in Armie Hammer, an actor who shared both the Winklevoss’ build and high-society charm. (In real life, Hammer is heir to the Armand Hammer oil fortune.) But the director still needed another actor to play the twin stand-in, so he made an appeal to Pence, an in-demand male model. “I said, “Look, if you agree to do this, all the over-the-shoulders are going to be you, you gotta learn all the lines, you gotta be there for every shoot day,’” recalls Fincher, “‘And when push comes to shove, I’m gonna lop your head off and put Armie’s head on you. It’s gonna be a completely thankless task.’ He’s so awesome. He said, ‘I’d love to do it.’”

And there you have it … one actor, one body double = two twin characters. To be honest, I had no idea that Hammer played both roles until David noticed his name in the credits listed for both Winkelvii. Now I need to see The Social Network again just so I can pay attention to the way the twin roles are handled. It’s a credit to David Fincher that I had no idea there was any CGI involved at all the first time I saw it. If anything, the way that the Winkelvoss twins are portrayed in the film is Oscar-worthy as well.

Much to my chagrin, I’ve been battling back the symptoms of a cold for the past few days and, for the most part, I’ve been able to keep the worse of them at bay … but yesterday was not a good day, let me tell you. I woke up with the worst body aches but, thankfully, free from a sore throat or any stomach ailments. I did my best to keep myself as medicated as possible with Dayquil by day and the magical nectar of the gods, Nyquil by night:

I’m still not feeling great today but I do not feel worse than I did yesterday so I’ll take that as progress. I’m hoping to be well enough to go out tonight … David and I are invited to some event at the Frank Lloyd Wright house here in LA so we were hoping to check that out. The rest of the week ahead is a bizzy one and then I’m flying back home to Detroit next week … so I really don’t have time for any flu shenanigans. It is almost the last day of November already, can you believe it? I hope your Monday is going well and that the December to come will be a fabulous one for us all :)

How To Deal With Writer's Block When Writing Hip Hop Lyrics

Many people do not think of the singing voice as a musical instrument. Actually, it is the primary instrument as it existed prior to the invention of any other instrument which accompanies a singer or plays alone. As with any instrument, the singing voice can be trained and well cared for and, in doing this, the singer will keep in practice and keep their instrument well "tuned".
